
Dr. Edward Lang, DPM
Our Chief Podiatric Surgeon
Dr. Edward Lang, a native New Orleanian, attended Brother Martin High School and the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine (Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine), where he received his doctorate in podiatric medicine. During his training, Dr. Lang studied surgical techniques under the direction of Gerard V. Yu, a pioneer in podiatric surgery. He continued his education in an intensive preceptorship with a concentration in rear and forefoot surgery and a surgical externship with Dr. Joseph Addante, a world-renowned leader in the field of podiatric medicine. In 2021, Dr. Lang earned the distinction "Center of Excellence" for his work on the 3-D Lapiplasty Bunion Correction procedure. In 2022, Dr. Lang completed Treace Medical's 'Master's Program' in 3-D Lapiplasty Bunion Correction techniques. Dr. Lang is certified in nutrition through Stanford University Medicine's Center for Health Education and is committed to helping his community achieve optimal foot health from an integrative approach.
Dr. Lang is board-certified in podiatric medicine and surgery with the American Board of Lower Extremity Surgery. He is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, the Louisiana Podiatric Medical Association, and a Fellow of the American Professional Wound Care Association. Dr. Lang is the former host of WBYU's popular talk radio show 'Footnotes.' He is the first and only podiatrist to have been awarded the City Business 'Health Care Hero Award' for podiatric medicine (2014).

Ahava Lang
Managing Co-Founder
Ahava is a founding partner of the New Orleans Podiatry Associates practice. She has been serving patients in the podiatry space for over thirty years. If you have questions or concerns about your NOPA experience, she can receive you on site, by phone or by email. In her free time, Ahava is puttering around the NOLA skies in her rented Cessna 172 or hanging out with her life partner, their children, and their pups, Buttercup and Westley.

Jeanne
Coding and Billing Specialist
With over fifteen years of medical insurance experience, Jeanne brings knowledge to the NOPA team. When it comes to your insurance billing, Jeanne functions as a coding specialist and as an intermediary between you and your insurance provider to ensure your claims are processed accurately and efficiently. She can answer any of your insurance, claims, or billing questions. Jeanne is a busy mother to two precious little ones and can be found boating or basking in the NOLA sun on any given weekend.

Jo-el
Patient Liaison
A true fan of the Pelicans and Saints, Jo-el is our New Orleans gal, born and raised. A graduate of Louise S. McGehee School Class of 2011, Jo-el started as an office assistant during the summers of her high school career and is now our patient services coordinator. Call our office and be greeted by her cheerful voice as she provides the means to schedule an appointment, answer all your questions, and direct you to another staff member as needed.

Caroline
Front Desk Coordinator
Originally from Miami, Florida, Caroline graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with concentrations in science and education. Caroline has over ten years in the medical field, and provides our patients with assistance in insurance, billing, scheduling, and translation in both ASL and Spanish languages. Caroline's first love is her adorable son, and her second is the New Orleans music scene she immerses herself in every chance she gets.

Lead Medical Assistant
Born and raised in New Orleans, "Sam" attended Xavier University New Orleans in the pre-pharmacy program. Here at NOPA, Sam is an invaluable part of our team and one of our lead medical assistants. Sam is bilingual in Spanish and is an internationally ranked video game champion who enjoys traveling the globe with his dog, Benny.

Taylor
Medical Assistant
Following the path to achieving her dream of becoming a physician, Taylor recently graduated from Tulane University with a B.S. in Public Health and Neuroscience on the pre-med track. Entering the medical field for the first time, her thirst for knowledge and guidance brought her to NOPA, and we are so excited to have her on board. When not doing all she can to assist Dr. Lang in caring for our patients, she enjoys playing volleyball, cooking, listening to live music, working out, and caring for her cat, Theo.
