A Year-Round Commitment to Kids in Foster Care

This year, Dr. Lang’s children asked us to shift our giving in a meaningful way. Instead of a seasonal drive that comes and goes, they wanted something steady—something that would be there for children who often face change, uncertainty, and transition all year long.

Their request became our mission.

We are proud to launch a year-round collection for children and teens in foster care. These donations provide more than essentials—they offer comfort, dignity, and a sense of stability during some of the hardest moments a child can experience.

While we will collect items throughout the year, we will hold a special holiday surge each November and December, when needs are often greatest.

Items we welcome for foster children (all ages):

• New or gently used clothing
• Coats and jackets
• Backpacks and book bags
• School supplies
• Books for young children and teens
• Holiday toys and gifts
• Hygiene items (optional)

Every single item placed in our collection bin becomes a quiet reminder to a child: You matter. You are seen. You are cared for.

Together—and guided by the kindness and compassion of our children—we can make a real and lasting difference for foster kids across New Orleans.
